To make Gold-Filled jewelry, multiple layers of solid gold are permanently pressure-bonded to a core of high-quality jeweler’s brass or sterling silver using extreme heat. FTC industry standards dictate that your piece must be at least 5% solid gold by weight. The result is a thick layer of real gold and a durable, long-lasting product. Gold-filled jewelry is a great alternative to solid gold, as it offers the ideal balance of quality and value without the price tag.
Gold-filled pieces can still tarnish, but it takes special circumstances for that to happen, like excessive and rough use. Even though it’s an alloy (a metal made by combining two or more metallic elements), the thick layer on gold-filled pieces prevents tarnishing, because pure gold doesn’t tarnish.

No piece—whether solid gold, platinum, or gold-filled—is truly “waterproof.” Daily exposure to elements like chlorine, salt water, lotions, or perfume won’t destroy your jewelry, but it will lead to buildup and dull its shine, meaning more frequent cleanings. Sterling silver is just as timeless. While it will not tarnish when worn regularly against the skin, it can oxidize when left exposed to air. To keep your silver at its best, store it in an airtight container or pouch when not in use. Appointments & Deposits
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will result in the forfeit of your deposit. All deposits are applied toward your final purchase at the time of service. All parties have a minimum investment per party.
Medical & Allergy Disclaimer
Please notify us prior to your appointment if you have any known allergies (such as nickel sensitivity) or medical conditions that may affect your ability to wear jewelry safely. This ensures we can help guide you to the best options for your comfort and safety.
Workmanship Guarantee
Every Spark’d Society piece comes with a 3-month free repair or replacement if your jewelry breaks at the jump ring weld site. This guarantee covers workmanship only. Please note it does not apply if the chain itself breaks due to snagging, pulling, or other outside force and does not cover breakage of the connectors or charms. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about warranty issues.

Normal wear—such as mild surface dulling, sliver tarnishing, patina, or residue—is expected and not covered under workmanship guarantees, unless it compromises weld integrity.
